WE invite you to join us for an exciting VIRTUAL fundraising EVENT this Spring
Some of our amazing supporters are putting together an “Olive Branch for Children” team for the 2020 Canada Africa Partnership (CAP) Ride Bike-A-Thon. The CAP Ride is an annual fundraising bike-a-thon that brings together Canadian communities and organizations to mobilize funds in support of community development efforts in Africa. No bike is needed, you can join by walking or running.
This year, we are riding to fundraise for TOBFC’s Zion and Peace Homes to ensure our children have continued support through these uncertain times. All funds raised will go towards the ongoing operating costs of the Zion and Peace Homes, including school fees, nutritious meals, and all that goes into ensuring our homes are a nurturing environment for the children in our care. Moreover, it will cover additional expenses to ensure the communities we serve are equipped for a COVID-19 outbreak. TOBFC continues to provide health information, deliver lifesaving medicines monthly, purchase PPE for health clinics in our catchment area and provide handwashing stations in various villages.
You can help us reach our fundraising goal by joining our team, collecting pledges, and riding! The CAP Ride will take place on Sunday June 7th at 12pm EST as a virtual bike-a-thon. This means we will all ride from our homes or neighborhoods while coming together in the community virtually. As we unite in a common effort to support each other and ensure the safety of our communities during COVID-19, it is more important than ever to continue standing in solidarity with us in Tanzania.
